GS & Company Custom Framing is now serviced by:

Nomad Gallery

Sun and Ilda, who have operated our Custom Framing Studio in Campbell Heights for nearly two decades, are now working in partnership with our sister gallery Nomad Gallery, owned by Jenny Evans (Lizzie's sister).

Framing services continue to be completed in the same Campbell Heights studio; however, projects are now handled on a contract, project-by-project basis. As a result, the framing studio is no longer open for regular drop-in hours.

To begin a framing project or discuss your needs, please contact

Jenny Evans at Nomad Gallery at jenny@nomadgallery.ca  or call 604-536-1119

Jenny will be happy to coordinate your project, arrange appointments, and review timelines with Sun and Ilda.

Thank you for your continued support - Jenny, Ilda, & Son look forward to helping you frame what matters most.

We also frame corporate recognition certificates, award or recognition certificates, company project completion, real estate awards, training certificates.

We do custom mirrors for hotel renovations, artwork fulfillment for new hotels or hotels undergoing a facelift.  We also do mirrors and hallway art for townhome and condo developments.

We provide artwork to common areas in senior facilities.  We are currently in the show suite at Amica on 16th Avenue.

The right frame will significantly enhance the look of a painting or print. The quality lies in the materials chosen and the frame that is used. So, what do you look for when it's time to frame your artwork?

The matting:  These are the coloured cards that are placed around the artwork.  Choosing the right colour, thickness, and texture will bring an image to life.

The frame:  Don't hesitate to try a lot of different sample corners to see what looks best with your image.  Walk around the gallery and see how different frames work with the art.

The glass:  We can help you determine if glass if right for your artwork, and which type of glass will work best depending on where you are hanging the pice.

Conservation Framing:

A method that protects your artwork from dust, light, humidity and acid.  This process uses 100% acid-free matting, mounting boards, and UV glass or acrylic.  Though more costly, it offers the best protection, and improves the longevity of your artwork.

Plak Mounting:

Also known as Laminart, Block Mounting, or Plaque Mounting. Your picture is mounted on MDF and protected with a UV blocking laminate coating. It is a great inexpensive alternative to framing with a frame and glass. Offered in 4 different edge styles from the classic 3/8″ Plak mount to 5/8″ flush mount.
