When our customers come in to look at new living room furniture, they often ask us about disposing of old furniture. It depends on whether the item is still in good shape or not. My first suggestion if the item is in great shape would be to try the South Rock Buy Nothing facebook group. It’s such a great feeling to pass along good quality used items rather than see them end up in the landfill.

There are a couple of local thrift shops that will pick up used furniture, but they will often ask for photos and assurance that it comes from a smoke/pet free home.

If your furniture isn’t good enough to pass along and you need it picked up in Surrey call 604-590-7289 This is a service included in your refuse removal up to 6 times a year. In White Rock, call 604-590-7289 for pickup, though there will be a fee.
